Lawrence Taylor
Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame’s executive director Larry Taylor was destined to a life-long connection to Indiana journalism beginning in 1949 through his father, who had worked for various Hoosier newspapers, and his mother, who taught journalism in the Greencastle schools.
Taylor started his career delivering the Indianapolis News and Banner Graphic, and later worked in three radio news operations. After three decades with a family-owned graphic arts firm in Greencastle, he began a second career in 2001 in nonprofit management at the Columbia Club Foundation, Indiana Humanities Council and Brown County History Center. He currently assists seven nonprofit boards in the Bloomington and Nashville areas.
He has worked with the hall of fame since the 1970s, and he met many of the inductees over the years. Taylor has been executive director since 2007.
